Located in Belknap County in central New Hampshire, the City of Laconia is 25 minutes north of
the state capital Concord and 90 minutes north of Boston, Massachusetts. Within the City of Laconia are Lakeport
and Weirs Beach. Laconia, as its nickname suggests, is in the heart of New Hampshire's Lakes Region. The bodies
of water adjacent to Laconia are Lake Winnipesaukee (the state's largest lake), Lake Winnisquam, Opechee Lake and
Paugus Bay (part of Opechee Lake). Towns that are Laconia's neighbors include: Meredith (northerly); Gilford (easterly);
Belmont (southerly); and, Sanbornton (westerly).
