Dredge and Fill Applications

RSA 482-A:3
No person shall excavate, remove, fill, dredge or construct any structures in or on any bank, flat, marsh, or swamp in and adjacent to any waters of the state without a permit from the department. The permit application together with a detailed plan and a map showing the exact location of the proposed project, along with 4 copies of the permit application, plan and map, shall be submitted to the town or city clerk, accompanied by a filing fee in the form of a check made out by the applicant to the state of New Hampshire.

The City Clerk accepts Minimum Impact Expedited, Standard Dredge & Fill, and Permits By Notification (PBN). There is a $10.00 filing fee, and a standard weight certified mailing fee of $7.50. This fee is separate from the State of NH fee, and may be included on one check ($17.50). 

 ** Additional postage fees will apply for oversized applications (binders, larger maps, etc). We will weigh anything beleived to be overweight prior to accepting the application**

Shoreland Applications

The City Clerk accepts and files Shoreland Applications. The person or agency filing the application is responsible for filing with the State of NH.
