LACONIA WALKING & ACTIVITY GUIDE
The City of Laconia now has a walking and activity guide for our residents to be fit in Laconia. 
The guide shows walking routes from each of our park houses and activities offered in each park
and the Laconia Community Center.  The guide may be picked up at Laconia Parks &
Recreation office  during normal office hours (8:30am-12:00 / 1:00-4:30pm).

BEACHES
Closed for the season

MODEL AIRPLANE FLYING
Fridays from 10:00am-12:00pm, anyone able to attend is more welcome. 
 Just bring your own battery operated plane, gas powered equipment not allowed.

CHRISTMAS VILLAGE
December 4,5,6 & 7
Thursday & Friday 6:00-8:00pm
Saturday & Sunday 2:00-5:00pm
Free with donations accepted
Come see Santa, Mrs. Claus and all their friends from the North Pole

CHRISTMAS CAROLING
Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00pm
Free for any age
We will meet at the Community Center and go to the Taylor Home houses
to fill them with holiday cheer.  Don't worry about forgetting the words,
we provide them to you along with hot cocoa.
 Bring a travel mug.  Call to register by December 1st.

SANTA'S CALLING
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 6-8pm
Free ages 2-7
One night a year Santa comes to Laconia Parks & Recreation to call the kids of Laconia.
Please call our office to pre-register your children by December 1st.  This is a big hit for the kids.

PICTURES WITH SANTA AND CANDY CANE HUNT
December 13, 2008 from 10-12pm
Cost: $5.00 per picture
Come have your picture taken with Santa and after go on a candy cane hunt at Opechee Park.
Bring your stocking to load up.
 

MOTHER/CHILD COOKIE DECORATING
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 from 6-8pm
Cost: $5.00 per family of 4 and $2.00 each additional person
Moms and kids make a date and come decorate some sugar cookies.
No need to bring anything.  Call to registry by December 1st.

HURRAY FOR THE HOLIDAY
Wednesday, December 10th from 6-8pm
Cost:  $5.00 per family of 4 and $2.00 each additional person
Let's have some holiday fun at the Community Center.  Bring the family and make ornaments,
string popcorn/cranberry etc.  Call to registry by December 1st.

SNOWMAN CONTEST
December 1, 2008-March 1, 2009
Make a snowman with your family and take a picture of it. 
Send the picture in to us by March 1st and possibly win a prize.

ICE SKATING PARTY
Friday, January 23, 2009 and February 13, 2009 from 6-8pm
Opechee Park or Memorial Park
Free for any age
Come skate under the lights and enjoy a bonfire to warm up by.
We will provide hot cocoa and cookies.  Weather and conditions permitting.
Call for location.

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER NIGHT OUT
Friday, January 30th from 6-9pm
Cost: $20.00 per couple and $10.00 each additional person
Come in your comfy PJ's and slippers, make a craft, do your nails, do your hair,
eat pizza and watch a movie.  We will have a great time !!
Call to register by January 19th.
